However unlike most medical referrals, the veterinarians and staff at Kirkwood Animal Hospital take a different approach.

As pets are a cherished member of the family, we do not believe in handing you a telephone number and your pet’s medical record when a specialist is required.

We can review the qualifications of any veterinarian you may be considering, or we can provide you with several exceptional specialists whom we trust. Once you select a specialist, we will contact them directly—sharing your pet’s medical records and speaking with the veterinarian to ensure they understand your pet’s situation. This approach results in a greater understanding of your pet’s condition leading to personal attention and superior care.

But our services do not end after the initial discussion. We will continue to be engaged by monitoring your pet’s care through doctor-to-doctor conversations, ensuring your pet receives the best possible care.
